Lisette Hornstra works as an assistant professor at the education department of Utrecht University. Her research interests include students’ motivation for school, social and ethnic diversity in schools, and teaching high-ability students. Her research focuses primarily on the question how learning environments can foster motivation, well-being, and academic achievement of students with different background and ability levels. She is currently a supervisor of three PhD students and teaches several courses in the bachelor and master program of the department of Educational Science at Utrecht University.
