MAR Lab app is another example of how the Charming project is using immersive technologies to transform how chemistry and chemical engineering is taught in higher education. By using the affordances of mobile augmented reality, the MAR lab app aims to provide a learning environment that enables experiential learning (like in a real lab). Since learning is a process where learners construct knowledge through their experiences with the environment, the MAR lab will provide the environment in which learning can be developed and may serve as an enhancer to explore basic chemistry techniques just by using a mobile device.
