‘Operate your own reactor – OYOR’ is another prototype by CHARMING. This time, for the immersive training of chemical operators. It is a headset based Virtual Reality (VR) experience of a 3-floor virtual chemical plant. As the name indicates, the trainees can operate their own virtual reactor and carry out the lengthy chemical procedure. The realistic chemical workflow, emergency situations, learning analytics and assessment frameworks are the prominent features that has been realised in OYOR. Besides, the physiological and comfort requirements from Maslow’s hierarchy of needs have taken into account for a scalable VR training design.
