EU H2020 MSCA-ETN CHARMING…Yes, we kicked it off!

On the 29th of April, 2019, EU H2020 MSCA-ETN CHARMING team members came together from all over the world in order to kick off their promising project. The day started with a detailed introduction on project management followed by the Early Stage Researchers’ (ESRs’) pitch presentations on their background, as well as on their plans for the project. Three parallel sessions by the three S/T work packages discussed best practice strategies for implementation. Before closing the day, a Secondment Café was the perfect session to get the ESRs meet the representatives of the secondment hosting institutions in order to discuss the practicalities of the upcoming secondments. The day was capped by a pleasant walk into Leuven centre and a nice event dinner.

Tuesday was an enriching training day, with both Soft skills as well as S/T trainings. Wednesday 1st of May: a team building day! The ESRs spent it in Bruges where they took a boat ride, enjoyed a group lunch and visited the Historium Virtual Reality. On Thursday, the fellows had company visits to ACTA and LuGus Studios where they had interesting tours, presentations and time for discussion. Friday was spent in the Chemical engineering department following S/T courses. The lab tour was the finale of the event…
